Why air conditioning for your office?

A professionally installed air conditioner offers more than cooling alone. In summer the system actively cools the space to an adjustable temperature. In winter the same air conditioner heats as a heat pump, more efficiently than electric convectors or infrared panels and up to three times more economical per kilowatt hour. In humid weather the system removes moisture from the air, which increases working comfort and prevents damp problems. Where do you place the air conditioner in an office?

Placement in an office needs more attention than in a living space. A direct airflow onto workstations is uncomfortable and can cause complaints. The indoor unit is best mounted high on a side wall or, in larger spaces, as a cassette unit built into the suspended ceiling.

Office staff are sensitive to background noise. Models from Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric run in quiet mode from 19 dB, and we always recommend the model with the lowest noise level that fits the required capacity. If your office has several spaces, such as a work area, meeting room and reception area, a multi-split system or VRF system is the most efficient solution, with each zone regulating its own temperature independently. In offices with a suspended ceiling, pipes can be fully concealed. In open-plan offices, our engineers use neat cable trunking or chase the pipe into the wall. If no suitable connection is available, our engineers take care of the necessary electrical work.

For an office space you use 0.04 to 0.06 kW per cubic metre, depending on occupancy, the amount of equipment and the solar load. Offices with many screens and employees generate more heat than an empty space of similar size.
