Daikin Comfora or Daikin Perfera: what are the differences?
Daikin has two popular wall-mounted air conditioner series available from Aircobrabant: the Comfora and the Perfera. Both cool and heat efficiently, and both are whisper-quiet. Even so, there is a clear difference in features and price range. In this article we explain what sets the Comfora and Perfera apart, so you know exactly which one best suits your situation.

What are the Daikin Comfora and Perfera?
The Daikin Comfora is the entry-level choice in Daikin’s mid-range. It is a compact, stylish wall-mounted air conditioner that does its job without frills: efficient cooling and heating, quiet and reliable. Thanks to its compact size, the Comfora is particularly well suited to installation above a door.
The Daikin Perfera is the premium wall-mounted model of the same line. It has all the basic functions of the Comfora, plus more advanced air purification, a motion sensor and a higher energy label. The Perfera is the choice for anyone who wants maximum comfort and the lowest energy costs.
Both models are available from Aircobrabant including STEK-certified installation.

Energy label: A++ versus A+++
The Daikin Comfora has an A++ energy label for both heating and cooling, already considerably more economical than a traditional central heating boiler or electric heating. The Perfera goes a step further with the A+++ label, the highest achievable energy label for wall-mounted air conditioners.
In practice this means the Perfera delivers slightly more heating or cooling per kilowatt of electricity. With intensive use, several hours a day, this makes a noticeable difference to your energy bill over a year. If you only use the air conditioner occasionally, the difference is smaller.
Air purification: titanium filter versus Flash Streamer
Both models have a titanium apatite deodorising filter that neutralises unpleasant odours. Up to this point they are equal.
The Perfera adds two layers to this. First, a silver filter that traps allergen particles, effective against pollen, dust mites and skin flakes. Second, the Flash Streamer: a Daikin technology that actively breaks down allergens and neutralises up to 99% of pollen and dust mites. As a result, the Perfera cleans the air considerably more thoroughly than the Comfora.
Do you suffer from hay fever, or does someone in your home have a dust mite allergy? Then the Perfera is the clear choice.
Motion sensor: only the Perfera has Intelligent Eye
The most tangible comfort difference is the Intelligent Eye motion sensor, which is found exclusively in the Perfera. The sensor detects where people are sitting in the room and automatically directs the airflow away from them. No cold or warm airflow directly on your back, even at maximum setting.
In addition, the Perfera automatically switches to an energy-saving mode if the sensor detects nobody for 20 minutes. If you leave the living room, it turns itself down. This saves energy without you having to think about it.
The Comfora does not have the Intelligent Eye. The airflow can be adjusted in three directions through the 3D airflow function, but it does not actively detect where people are.
Sound: both 19 dB(A)
On this point the models are equal. The 2 kW model of both the Comfora and the Perfera reaches a sound level of 19 dB(A), comparable to soft whispering and quieter than a library. Both are therefore excellent for use in the bedroom.
So do not let noise influence your choice; there is no audible difference between the two.
Dimensions and placement
The Comfora is the more compact model and particularly well suited to installation above a door or in rooms with limited wall space. The Perfera is slightly larger, but fits in most living rooms and bedrooms without problems.
If you have little wall space or a low ceiling, the Comfora is preferable purely on size. In most other situations, size is not a deciding factor.
What does the difference cost?
The Comfora is priced more competitively than the Perfera. The extra cost of the Perfera lies in the Flash Streamer, the silver filter and the Intelligent Eye motion sensor. How big that difference is exactly depends on the chosen capacity and the situation on site.
